The Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence (CPE) is used by many organizations in India to create sustainable excellence in an increasingly competitive global market. This paper explores the 20-plus year performance excellence journey of the Monfort College of Business. A qualitative case study approach has been used to identify and describe the key factors and practices that have led to success, including the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2004. A model is proposed that links the key enablers with program design and delivery and program management and improvement to the associated results. This causal network is proposed as a system that has led to Monfort's ever-improving results.
This report details the findings from an exploratory study on the motivational and attitudinal patterns (MAPs) of CEOs who have led organization transformations resulting in recognition of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The report identifies a Baldrige CEO Model of Excellence with seven differentiating factors and 17 common leadership factors.
